Our Services Overview
XRG Simulation specializes in calculating the behavior of complex energy systems under dynamic and steady-state conditions. Modeling and simulation using numerical methods are time- and cost-effective, enabling precise calculations of complex systems. In addition, XRG Simulation develops complementary tools such as control and optimization programs, co-simulations, extensive databases, and conducts studies and mathematical optimizations for its clients.
Vehicle Thermal Management
XRG Simulation collaborates with you to develop innovative thermal management systems and components for vehicles at the highest quality level. Through our modular models, expensive and time-consuming vehicle tests can be reduced, and any test conditions simulated. We accompany you from idea to series production with solutions tailored to your needs.
Building and HVAC Simulation
Using our engineering methods and simulations, we develop and optimize comfortable and safe buildings and their building systems for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and innovative automation. This includes fire protection with the review of fire protection concepts and the determination of fire protection objectives, as well as the development, monitoring, and control of energy-efficient buildings.
Energy Simulation in Aviation
XRG develops tools and applications for the analysis and optimization of complex thermodynamic systems in aviation. This includes analysis and dynamic simulations of air conditioning control and pressurisation systems, ventilation, pressure regulation, heating, cooling, humidification, as well as control and distribution of air quality (e.g., contaminants, smoke, viruses).
Our methods can be used to model and investigate the thermal behaviour of various systems. Another focus of our work is the modeling of the supply and thermal management of new propulsion systems, e.g., fuel cells.
Renewable Energies
XRG has extensive methods for simulating systems that utilize renewable energies. The basis for this is time-dependent climatic conditions in a selected region, which include local solar radiation and air temperatures or ground temperatures. A weather model from the HumanComfort or HVAC Library can also consider cloud coverage. Powerful geometric 3D solvers are available for calculating shadows.
Furthermore, we offer simulation-based analyses of integrated renewable energies such as sector coupling, district heating and cooling, large heat pumps, and energy storage, among many others. With the TransiEnt library, specifically developed for the analysis of sector-coupled integrated energy systems, we have the tool for analyzing renewable and sustainable solutions.

Additional Services
Methodical modeling
XRG adopts a methodical approach to modeling to achieve effective results. Modeling is used to analyze a specific problem, examine scenarios, or make predictions about the behavior of a system. Models are created to address questions about a real complex technical system and characterize its system behavior.
