XRG Simulation provided the municipal building management of the city of Bonn (Germany) with transient year-round simulations using the HVAC Library to investigate the available regenerative energy supply systems (heat pumps, photovoltaics, wastewater, heat recovery, etc.). This included, in addition to the heat generators and consumers, a validated model of the outdoor pool as a heat storage. Based on the simulation results, precise statements could be made about the energy efficiency and the economic viability of the investments to be made in the existing Hardtbergbad.
